From the history of the Palace of the Autoclub of the Czech Republic
The project of adaptation and extension of the originally two-storey classicist house at 1337 Lützowova Street (purchased by the Autoclub at the end of 1924) was handed over in September 1926 to one of the main representatives of Czechoslovak modern architecture, Pavel Janák, then a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Prague. Janák approached the socially highly prestigious commission with his own precision. The realization of his design resulted in the creation of one of the largest social spaces in Prague.
The Club House of the Autoclub of the Czech Republic is registered in the state list of cultural monuments of the National Heritage Institute of the Czech Republic.
